Angela Koh tells Dinnerreviews.com, "My first writings were interviews and articles for my school. Soon after, I began to submit my poems to literary magazines and online magazines for publication. I'm now working on a manuscript for a fiction novel. I've also done some teaching in Seoul, Tokyo, and Santa Ana in the native languages.

Angela is a University of California Irvine undergraduate, currently working towards a Bachelor's Degree as an English Major and Creative Writing with Emphasis in
Poetry and Fiction.

Although I have not spoke to this wonderfully talented 21-year old artist in person, I'm compelled to tell the world about Angela Koh just the same. I have not experienced another who’s writing is as insightful or unique as hers in some time…or perhaps ever. No other scribe has illicited the feelings in me that her words do. No other grasps my imagination the way she does with her effortless musings about her world and beyond. In her piece entitled, "A Dream From This Morning", she writes about her Grandmother who passed away long ago. This short story really hit home with me, as I lost my Grandmother and Best Friend in Life at age 102 earlier this year. I was moved, and to make it even more interesting, I had dreamed of My Granny the night before I read Angela's story. Eerie conicidence, or fateful encounter? I went on to read all the work on her site and decided to share her visions with my readers and the literary world at large. After all, I am a writer too!

I’d like to think I am  representing more than only me when I write this…but I’m happy to have her work as my private stash if not. But in truth, I am actually representing everyone who has not yet discovered Angela Koh’s work. I guess you could say I am a big fan with a small place in her world…but a small place occupied by appreciation for what it is she creates.

Angela Koh, Newbie blogger and poet from California

I’m confident that someday THE BIG WORLD will be privy to what I am saying here on a much larger scale. In the meantime I hope I can be instrumental in helping her get discovered one reader at a time. Angela’s work is destined for greatness…if she ever stops believing that, she’d sink to the bottom much like a shark would if that powerful and magnificent creature should ever stop moving forward through the treacherous waters of its life…but she won’t. She is an artist in the true sense of the word…a word-smith with a glowing hot anvil and hammer that swings high over-head again and again. PING… PING…. Defiant and proud.

I know Angela will never stop believing in herself… I can glean that from the words she writes about her manuscript(s). She is a product of higher education, and well-seasoned by life and survival even at 21. A person of her talent level and high acumen should accept the fact, willingly or not, that they will be rewarded and recognized for being one of a kind, especially in the arts. She is a player in art’s creative orchestra…a natural soloist. Her soliloquies are born of her heart and flung into the cyber-world for what reason? To be discovered by those who can handle her cerebral  rants and overall creative craft as the ART FORM it is. Those who have not tried Angela Koh’s brand of thought provoking prose are missing out on the proverbial good shit!! Da-kine as they say in Hawaii…

So I come back to her parlor from time to time to fly with her on the wings of her words… I come back for another inoculation of Angela Koh’s wonderful rhetorical creations. From cathedrals to ships…from family to dreams…old wounds and super human heroics…to fear in exchange for God! The time I invest to be on her site is worth the high her words always give me.
